Dr. Sherrie D. Johnson, a Philadelphian by birth and raised in New York City, was introduced to ministry at an early age through her mother, the late Evangelist Rose Lee Johnson.
Called into ministry when Dr. Sherrie was just four years old, her mother traveled extensively with her throughout the United States—from New York to Savannah, Georgia; Miami, Florida; and eventually Dallas, Texas.
These formative years served as divine preparation for Dr. Sherrie’s own calling. By the age of five, Dr. Sherrie was already ministering through song, often singing the sermonic solo before the preached Word. During these early years, the Holy Spirit moved powerfully—bringing healing, deliverance, and prophetic utterance through her life.
She labored faithfully in ministry alongside her mother until the age of sixteen. Though she later strayed from the foundation she loved, God’s purpose for her life remained steadfast.
As an adult, Dr. Sherrie attended a revival service at Liberty Chapel in Southeast Dallas under the leadership of the late Pastor Joyce Derrough. It was there that the Spirit of the Lord reclaimed her life, setting her firmly back on the path of ministry—a turning point that marked a renewed season of obedience and purpose.
Dr. Sherrie has since traveled, taught, and preached in churches across the United States, sharing messages of hope, restoration, and transformation. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, completed graduate-level studies in Christian Leadership through Grand Canyon University, and received an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity in Family and Community Ministry from Elbon-Solutions College of Ministry in Apple Valley, California.
She currently attends Shiloh Church of God in Christ in Melissa, Texas, assists with the youth ministry of RCGG–Christ Throne Church in Allen, Texas, and hosts a weekly Zoom platform titled “Daughters of DiVine Connection.” Dr. Sherrie also supports apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers in their Kingdom efforts according to Ephesians 4:11.
A devoted mother of five, grandmother of fifteen, and great-grandmother of four, Dr. Johnson now adds another God-ordained title to her life’s work: Author.
